I started practicing yoga when I moved to Boston and was in search of community. The practice itself and the energy I felt when practicing among students and teachers alike was always a wonderful gift that I had waiting for me when I needed it. Since then my practice has evolved right alongside my professional work, spiritual awakening and healing. I completed my 200hr teacher training at JP Centre Yoga with Daniel Max and Alana Brennan with the intent of deepening my own practice. Yoga, for me, is a way to embody healing in its various forms, so as an educator, I naturally fell in love with facilitating this experience for the collective and felt inspired to immerse myself into teaching. As a lifelong student, I’m continuing to develop my healing tools with a movement science certification with Threes Physiyoga Method (2023) which applies the physical therapy principles related to anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, and kinesiology to yoga instruction.

In my classes, I facilitate the practice of conscious awareness and mindful breathing as we travel through our senses of the state of our bodies. I use an abundance of cues to provide options for students to learn about their bodies and their individual needs, and to encourage agency to challenge oneself or move with ease in the destination of corrected alignment and a settled nervous system.

When I’m not teaching yoga at studios in Boston, online, and privately, I’m working as an Organizational Psychologist, facilitating organizational healing and equal opportunity, and a professor in the Organizational and Leadership Psychology department at William James College where I’m focused on multicultural and inclusive leadership and organizational assessment.
